Dear god this was painful to read. You had it layed out for you on a silver platter. Still though, what she said.

...she says gay marriage and how the media frames it and then goes on to say men are more stupid with it than women and basically most of us are sexist...

Its really ironic because her statement is pretty sexist. However, that aside, sweeping generalizations like are are pretty immature, from this I would extrapolate that she has some emotional development to do. Don't stick your dick in immature/crazy. It's probably for such a bad thing you missed it here.

Let me explain to you this situation with a story of my own. I hope you'll be able to see parallels and what you ought to do next time.

This was two years ago now. I was hosting a party in my common room in my halls. People were using my room for the ensuite bathroom since there were no others. This chick who I liked (she liked me too but we never liked each other at the same time) left her wallet in my nightstand without me knowing. She lost it in my room since in the morning she couldnt remember where it was. She said to me "I'll come to your room and search for it naked". I was like "hahaha, yeah sure." A couple days later we were chilling in her room with some friends and she told me she wanted to look for her wallet. We went to my room and asked to use the bathroom. I was okay with that. Next thing I know she comes out with literally just in her panties.

I had no idea wtf to do. I was not expecting it to actually happen. I kept searching around my room all panicked and started cleaning compulsively. I thought it was a look but dont touch kind of deal. We end up sitting on my bed and she sees my leopard print mankini and says that I should put it on. I figure that shes in her panties, might as well oblige. We kept sitting on my bed and she was clearly waiting for me to make a move.

I didn't want to make a move because I was unsure. I couldnt know for sure what situation I was in. It was only when I reached over when an explosion of making out ensued. We didnt have sex because I was too confused/inexperienced to have the guts. That's beside the point though.

The important take home message is that if you want to get laid with a girl, you need to touch her. You need to escalate that shit. If you don't touch her or make yourself vulnerable for rejection (see Models on the details) then you'll just be sitting in a mankini across the bed from a girl in her underwear.

Consider that. If you don't make risks, if you don't escalate, if you say to yourself "I cant be certain" you'll never get anywhere.

Make assumptions, assume attraction. Don't take it personally if it doesn't go anywhere but when you get that feeling of being locked in just go for it!

Well you set up the situation just right, the problem is that you didn't just shut up and make a move. Coming from experience I know that it can be nerve-wracking and that you naturally overthink things, but women are into confident men who know what they want and make a move regardless of how she'll respond. She's not an idiot. She knows why you're there and what you want. Fuck, she invited you to be alone with her late at night. She was clearly dtf, but was likely put off by the fact that you didn't just act on it like a confident person would (this is why arrogant assholes get girls and nice guys don't; they actually will push the situation where they want it to go). BUT it's all okay. We all fuck up, but within our failures we are taught lessons. Hopefully, you will now be better suited to recognize when a girl is dtf, and to just go in for the kiss and start taking her closes off.

That is why she invited you to "see a movie at home".

Next time lay down in the bed/sofa, and say "come and lay with me". She will lay with you, and everything will follow natures path...
