Ok, so I did my first approach last week and it very weird to say the least. But I thought I would do a field report. ok, I was sitting on a bench waiting for a class when a philipino girl sits next to me. I was going to say something right away, but seen she had headphones so I kinda bitched out. But then I just sat there for like 5 mins texting a friend when I just thought fuck it. So I turned to her tried to get eye contact but she was texting, so I tapped her on the shoulder and she took out her earphones and I asked her where the best place to eat on campus was. She told me some place and she liked the sandwitches there. I then asked her what she studying and she said she just started university and was just taking gernal courses. She then asked what I was doing and I told her what field but then after I told her I had a full course load when I don't I just have one class. I don't know why I did this I guess I was nervous but just kept with it. We kept talking a lot of awkward pauses. But found out she used to be a lead singer in her band in the Philippines and she plays guitar. I then suggested we go to degrees after her class was done and asked for her phone number. She gave it to me but I didn't know where I put my phone so I jumbled around trying to find it till I found it was in my jacket and not jeans pocket. I got her number and we continued to talk about guitar hero. Then there was another awkward pause, a friend I know showed up and started talking to me standing. There was a seat inbetween us empty so I asked him to sit down, inbetween us. Looking back now I should of slide next to her and asked him to sit down. But I forgot her name I could not introduce them so I felt kind of like a dick cuz I kind of didn't introduce her to my friend and kind of cut her off. She left, as my friend sat down and I told her I'd see her at degrees later. Was pretty sure that she gave me a fake number at this point or that she wasn't going to reply back and to be honest seddit I really didn't want to go to the date since I just lied about my classes. So I said I could not make it to degrees that day because something came up and maybe schedule for tomorrow. So the next day, comes around and I am prepared for the day tired of my bullshit excuses and send her a flirty text calling her a Pilipino pop star and still wanting to know if she wants to get sandwitches. Anyways I get a text back that I got the wrong number. She then texts back that isn't her pet name either. I then apologize ask for her name. Wait for a second then send another text saying I was sorry if I bothered for her and then recited bon jovi's lyircs "have a nice day" She then says she likes bon jovi. we then text for most of the day. I find out she is closer to my age is single and is from the same area as the girl I was talking. Which makes me theorize the Pilipino girl set me up with one of her friends. But I set up a date with her and about 4 hours before she cancels saying she has to go dress fitting because she is a brides maid. I don't know what to do at this point. I can provide the text conversation for more context. Just wanted to know if I should drop this chick and on to the next one.
