Hi there

I just want to thank this sub for letting me get the courage and stop caring about (Rejection) and advise me to read that book (Models) because it help me a lot.

Because that's what happen I was at the mall and I felt kinda stylish and confident and I saw 3 girls shopping around and their vibes look safe to approach, one of them got my attention and I thought about approaching her,

then the usual happens anxiety kicks in and the overthinking start.

So I follow from a distance thinking about the best scenario to approach her or just give up and go home, then that moment came in and I was like fuck it I want to get rejected and let's see how this feels.

Then they go to groceries shop and they stop there for a couple of minutes checking an item and realize that is my moment I walked there slowly and said:

Me: excuse me *she looked at me and I look eye contact with her* and say loud and slow to give her brine seconds to analyze what is happening and I say I find really cute and I was wondering if I can take your number maybe we can grab a coffee together. (not the best opener i know)

She looked embarrassed Crossed her Arms and blushed in front of her friends and she back off a little and with a slight laugh said no sorry but thanks for the offer. (body language says it all)

Me: died inside, but I kept cool calm face

and said: it's ok but thank you for listening. (not the best closer i know)

and I just walked away and my vision kinda got blurry but the excitement of what I just did start boosting me up and the little voice inside saying yes you did it cunt.

But definitely without the book and this sub, I would have dealt with the situation much much worse with a hurt confident and self-esteem but no I felt neutral and ready to go for the next one.
