honestly, for a first date, anything you can do, where you can both talk and get to know each other, where you can flirt and escalate a bit, is what you want.

I usually suggest ice cream and a walk in a park, zoo, tourist attraction type stuff. Nothing expensive.

Movies are bad because you can't talk. Formal dinners are usually bad because its boring to just sit across from each other for 2 hours.

But if you are cooking (with her?), then it could be interesting.
