Finally got the courage to go for it so I’m happy regardless of the outcome.

I was at the mall yesterday buying my mom a gift for her birthday. As I walked through the food court a cute alt style girl walked past and we looked at each other for a quick second as we passed each other. I ended up chickening out but as I left the store I bought the gift in I saw her working in the store across from me. The store was completely empty and she was the only one working so I walked in to talk to her.

I opened with: “ hi how are you— im also good” “Sorry this is really forward but I saw you pass me at the food court and I thought you were really cute” we shook hands and chatted for maybe 3 mins about where we were both from and the store she worked at. My mind went blank so I didn’t really know what to say, I managed to get her number but left much faster than I should have. I just didn’t know what to talk about and panicked a bit. She definitely could tell I was nervous based on my tone of voice etc.

Any advice is greatly appreciated cause I know it wasn’t a home run. Still glad I went for it though I feel with some practice my nerves will get better. Chow
