Talk to everyone, girls, guys, bartenders, etc. it helps to build social proof, but also removes the anxiety from approaching people.

At night I also find people are more on the defensive, so don’t take it personally if approaches are less successful than during the day.

Depending on where you live, it’s an excellent chance to build rapport with doormen of hotspots. You will be let in solo, which is often an impossibility with two guys. Make sure to remember their names for the next time you want to come back there.

Don’t be afraid to cut bait if a place does not have the right energy. The beauty of being solo is you can make decisions fast.

Never tried that one, but I think the act of opening is more important than what the opener is.
