I went on the upper deck where I immediately catch attention of a fine looking, sikh girl who is my type. The seats are empty around her but I sit down in the distance. It takes a few minutes to settle in AND I feel anxious but I immediately shrug it when I recollect my experiences of regret.

I use the familiar opener since she looks like one of my primary school friends.

Me: Did you used to go to ABC school?

Her: No.

Me: Is your name simran?

Her: No but I think I know who you are referring to. What's her surname?

Me: CDEFGH.

Her: Yep.

Me: She your sister?

Her: No.

We then had a short convo on our education, hobbies and interests. She said she loves sports, going to study her A levels - Equal to college in the USA. She mentions her friend in very little detail, I explain how we're mutuals.

My stop is approaching so I ask her plans for the weekend and mention hanging out in the park and playing badminton tomorrow.

For a second, I think of asking for her Instagram but a number would sit nicely instead.

Unfortunately, she declines indirectly by mentioning she has other plans such as going to the salon which I appreciate over the BF excuse and so don't exchange contact information.

Verdict:

Felt great, would be kicking myself HARD for not approaching. Trust me on this, regret is a death sentence.
