Was out shopping today when a cute store attendant was just friendly asking me if I needed help with anything. Immediately thought she was very cute and attractive so I decided to just try asking her for some help and suggestions. I wish I could have kept the conversation going, but unfortunately I'm currently living in a country where English is not the main language, so I had quite a lot of difficulty trying to keep my composure and confidence up as I was low-key struggling to find the words to say.
I can hold a perfectly normal conversation in the language used here, it's just that under pressure, it all sort of flies out the window lol
She checked me out at the cashier and I decided to ask for her name just before I left. She was really nice and warm to me, but I think it was more so her just being in 'customer service' mode. Couldn't find the courage within me to ask for her number, but I will definitely try to the next time I go back to the store. Little steps for me I guess.
Anyone have any tips on trying to flirt in a non-native language? And also, how much of a dick move is it to ask out people who are working at shops (read online that its generally better to not make the employee's lives harder by asking them personal stuff when they're on shifts)
