I've been practicing the game for a while now, I'm a sharp guy and I've picked it up quickly. I still need a lot of work but I have huge things going for me: I'll get to that.

Standing outside a bar with my buddy taking a smoke a HB7 comes up, trashed, asking for a smoke. She says, "it's sooo bad I know I know, but I'm still asking." - I playfully lead to giving her one, but only if I get her name, I use her guilt about smoking as a contact point that way (don't judge me, she asked for one lol).

I offered her a lighter, but she had one, so she went back to her friends. Thing is, she came right back and asked for mine, so I knew I had opened decently enough (:

She asked me my name, and I said "X" - I look like a celebrity, substitute X for any cute and disarming male celebrity (not hot, but cute and disarming, I admit it). Then she did the whole 'wait really?' and I told her that no, in fact my name was not "X" it was "Y".

This was an opportunity to show humor, and to compliment, as when she got mad that I lied (she was drunk lol) I was able to say I "could tell you were smart, and I love your smile, I knew you had a sense of humor"

Before she got too far from that compliment I transitioned to an observation saying "I like that necklace", and leading that sentence into "I figured your boyfriend would have gotten that for the wedding" (At this point I had found out she was in town from a bigger city for a wedding). - Through the observation transition I found out that she was single, didn't want to get married, etc. She was in to me showing her around town, but was flying out the next day around lunch time (today, the day I'm posting this). I had done kino twice with her elbow and her posture had opened up each time, and we had eye contact the entire chat ( she even blew smoke at me).

I had all the right signs - but because she was leaving my town, it wouldn't work. Thing is, I travel to her town often enough for work, so I tried the "you should give me your number incase I need a guide when I'm visiting, I love seeing new parts of the city" - right then, friends tugged her back and I got romance movie line of "If you see me sometime in the city, I'll show you around, and then it'll be meant to happen" (oh pahleeeezzzzeee xD)

tl;dr -- HB7 outside a bar, opened with humor and a touchpoint, HB7 came back quickly after leaving, used more humor then transitioned with observation - kino - close to the close then the out of town KILLED my game...so Seddit, what do you recommend? Keeping in mind, she was with too many friends (15 or so) to pull away so my best move would have been a #close. -- I'll take all constructive advise
