A follow up of the ''game is a skill'' thread.
I found it interesting.
Very mixed views (as is always the case with anything 'game', I guess)
Majority seemed to think that it was 'kind of a skill', but one that is only able to be practiced if the girl thinks you are handsome (i.e ''all of the game won't work if she thinks you're ugly'')
I'm curious: For those who insist it's a skill, what practical things do you think you have learnt in terms of 'game' that maybe you didn't do in your interactions before? What 'edge' do you have over your friends who have never heard of 'game'?
When you get rejected by a hot, single girl do you always think that your skill level wasn't good enough as opposed to her just thinking you weren't good looking or whatever?
Almost every pickup book I read (with the exception of very old stuff like mysterymethod) doesn't tell you what to say in interactions. The idea is that 'game' is all about being your best self in terms of career/hobbies etc.
I fail to see how this is a skill or something that needs to be 'learned'. Almost like 'learn' is the wrong verb!
The other popular thing I read, even here on reddit, is 'what you say doesn't matter' so again that makes me wonder where this 'skill' side of the equation comes from.
Are we saying that all of the 'skill' is about learning how to have good body language and speak with good 'tonality'?
I always want too interrogate people who say ''just learn game, bro! Then you can get all the girls you want!'' kind of thing. I'm' curious about exactly what they have 'learnt'. (as I say, most literature concentrates on 'inner game' aswell as concepts that remind you that you are the prize and how girls don't care about looks etc). I imagine them posters being able to bang 100% of the girls they approach because they have 'learnt game'
PS - Old school mysterymethod guys needn't reply, because in your case, I already know the answer (DHV stories, negging, routines etc actually ARE things that I can understand need to actually be 'learnt' and even memorised etc)
