A few days ago I ditched my first class because I was running an hour late so I didn't bother going to class anymore. So I decided to get a smoothie from the university food plaza and go sit down outside.

I start looking around for an open table to sit at but instead I saw a cute blonde sitting by herself and decided to sit at her table. I ask if anyone's sitting at her table and asked if I could join her. She said no and said to go right on ahead.

At first I didn't say a word to her. Just pretended to not care and just started looking around. In honesty I was hoping she would look my way so I could start a conversation. Luckily enough, she kept doing the same and we smiled at each other a few times. After like a minute, I just decide to start a conversation. She was doing something in her notebook so I ask what class she was doing it for and continued from there.

We talked for about a half hour before I left for my next class. At that point, the interaction was going great! I'm naturally extroverted and outgoing so this was more natural for me. But I made her laugh, made some inside jokes, lead the conversation and dictated the rhythm for the most part.

When it was time for me to go, I asked for her name, she asked for mine, and I number-closed her before I left. It was just casual and more in a friendly way (IMO) but when I was walking away, I felt so good.

Later that day, I texted her and asked her out. And she said YES (:

Our date's tomorrow afternoon! I've never been on a date before so I'm real excited. Thanks for the help guys.
