In order to be able to understand this FR and why it is so special for me, I need you to get to know my situation. The past months, I had to deal with a harsh break-up of a long-time relationship plus a series of exhausting exams. You see, in the past year there was no need to approach a girl since I had a GF and in the past few months, I just wasn't able to. You could say, I completely forgot how to approach a girl and kept to sleeping or flirting with girls I already knew that they are into me.

I work as a waiter which is, as some may know, a quite exhausting job and after a long day of work, I went clubbing with some friends. The whole night I've been in a state of "Oh, that's a nice girl. But I won't approach her, maybe later, now is not the right moment... Better get another beer".

Fast forward a few hours, I'm a bit drunk, a bit high and quite tired on the dancefloor and make some eye-contact and smiling with this total cutie. Some random dude (I guess the type you guys would call a beta) tries some kino on her, but you can see it in his movements that he doesn't have to guts to cross the sexual border. As I mentioned, I've been quite tired at that moment and actually wanted to go home, but I said to myself that I wouldn't allow myself to go home without having at least tried to approach a girl and I couldn't allow such a douchey approach a hot girl, while I just stand there and watch. So, right before I leave I go straight up to her and say something like "Hey, I know this is quite straight-forward, but I think you're cute. Anyway, I gotta leave know, give me your number, so we can me meet some time". Even before I finished the sentence she smiled and gave me her number. I made some joke about how I hope that it's really her's and not of a pizza service, which she seemed to find funnier than it actually is and we made some convo, before I told her goodbye and left. Yea, I know this isn't really special compared with some of the stuff I've read here, but it was a huge step for me.

However, I don't think this exact way of approaching a girl will work for everyone. Where I live, girls are mostly approached in clubs by either dead drunks or total creeps and even though I wouldn't consider myself as hot, I seem to be somewhat attractive. I guess, not fitting into the pattern of dead drunk creeps did the magic for me.
