I was at my company two year refresher for first aid this morning and there's this cute civilian girl in the class sitting next to me. I've been reading this forum for a while but I haven't had any opportunities to put it into practice, so I figure I shouldn't pass up this one. She puts her hand up as the only one who hasn't taken the course before so on the first break I ask her about that and if she's a new employee with the department. To which she replies:

"Oh, no, I work at McDonalds, but my Dad works here so he got me on the course"

Ack! Minor! Abort! Abort!

So what did I learn? Not a damn thing, but that's one approach down.
