Ignore the first paragraph if you don't want background

I'll preface the interaction with some background: I'm 15 y/o, I am ranked top 100 in a squash and chess for my age, and I am the stereotypical nerd (see my post history for more evidence). I have been having mediocre to bad luck with game in general. I have kissed some girls at dances, but I have never had a girlfriend and never cold approached. I have social anxiety, but it is mild and I am working to overcome it. I practice my sport, which is almost pure cardio, 3-6 hours per day, and as a result I have extremely low body fat, resulting in a six pack, a very skinny appearance, and bad acne. I am also 6 feet tall, but I wouldn't say I am attractive. I am on vacation in a foreign country in a resort. I reread many of the top posts on /r/seduction and decided that I had to apply what I learned to make any progress. I set a goal of at least one approach per day. So I am walking around at 6 pm and find no one my age that is not with their family. It is now 9 pm and finally I see a cute girl on the bench, but I walk right past her. I go to the bathroom and tell myself that I have to approach.

I come around the corner and say "Hello my name is throwawaypokerplayer." I sit down and she looks startled. I immediately, "Oh my bad, I can leave if you want." I think this was a mistake because it shows a lack of confidence, but I am not sure what else I could have said. She says "No, you just scared me coming around the corner." I then tell her with a smile "Well I can't be perfect all of the time." She laughs and at this point I knew I was in. I ask her where she is from and she says Calgary. I ask her about the weather there and she tells me it is -30 degrees. I tell her I could never survive in that weather and I can feel the icicles forming on my finger tips just thinking about it. She laughs and tells me that it is not so bad. I mention that she is tall and ask her what sport she plays. As I do this I graze her shoulder. She says basketball and I mention that I also play a winter sport, but she doesn't know the game. We talk about her team for a while and her position on the team. We then talk about what profession we want to be. She mentions wanting to get into science, and asks me what my favorite subject is. I say math and she says she hates math. I ask her how she can hate math when science is so related to math and tap her on the shoulder, contemptuously. She explains that she likes the conceptual aspects of science. I realize I didn't remember her name, so I ask her again. She then admits she forgot mine so we reintroduce ourselves with a hand shake. At this point she talks about fighting girls at school, and I joke that I am too much of a pussy to get into a fight. She laughs and then I back away from her on the bench and ask her if she is going to beat me up. She promises she won't with a giggle and I get close to her on the bench so our legs are touching. She says she will protect me and I hug her for a split second, but it feels awkward. We then talk about various wounds we gave/got and I do some kino with her legs when she talks about her leg wound. Afterward we talk about the resort and what there is to do and she mentions how she got tan. We compare relative tanness, which is funny to her because I am white as a ghost. We talk about my height, which appears to be a turn on for her because she says that every guy in her school is shorter than her and she jokes about a girl in her school who only dates shorter guys. There is a moment of silence that feels like a minute. I can't think of anything to say so I just look at her, and she starts the conversation. We then talk about my paleness vs her tanness. I call her cute and like her tanness and height and she giggles. When I kino again on the back of her neck I notice her startle a bit, and I apologize because my hands are cold and I explain that I have circulation issues with my low body fat. Is this too honest and a mistake? At this point she says she has to go. I tell her to wait, I get a pen, and she writes her snapchat on my arm because I don't get phone service in this country. I added her tonight.

TL;DR: She was buying what I was selling, but I wasn't able to escalate as much as I probably should have.

What is my next move? What did I do correctly/incorrectly? I noticed she never rejected my kino. What could I have done to kino more aggressively? Specifically in what ways should I be kinoing? Should I have changed the setting? If so, how? Should I approach girls with their family? If so, how? Any suggestions for the future?
