Alright, to set this up: I met the girl online and we've been texting for almost a month now. I was out of town first for business, then pleasure, then the holidays. So after keeping in touch this long we finally decide to meet up. Which brings me to last night.

The Date

We went to a gallery opening near my place. She came over, we chatted a bit and then started walking. It was about a 20 minute walk and the conversation was flowing. I found it very easy to talk to her as we have been texting for so long. I'm a serial texter so don't judge. Anyways, we finally get there and the place is packed. It's a very cool gallery and the people there were very eccentric. She seemed to be out of place and not letting loose so I took the lead and walked her around.

The other girl

We finally settle down into a nook and continue talking for a while. Across the room I see a HB7 that looks familiar. She looks just like the girl I sat next to in pre-calc in high school. I excuse myself from my conversation with my date saying "I think I know this person I have to go find out, here hold my drink" I walk up to the HB7 and ask if she is so and so. She turns to me and screams my name and throws me a big hug. After a little back and forth and catching up I realize I should get back to my date. I pull out my phone and simply say "I'm going to need your number." She shows zero hesitation and seems excited that I asked. Score.

Back to the date

Now I'm feeling really good, the conversation between my date and I is going really well. I haven't mentioned this yet but my date kept talking about her exes, yes multiple, all the way back to high school. This threw many red flags in my mind and I decided earlier in the night that I wouldn't be pursuing this one. By deciding this I noticed it loosened me up to just hang out and have fun, which is just what I did.

HB7

No real plans to hang out with her yet. We have chatted a little bit through text and it seems she wants to meet up when we both have the time. All in all, a good experience.
