Some background information on me. I'm a 19 year old guy who is at college 500 miles away from home.

It's the second week of class and I'm getting used to things and my new routine. I've made some friends in my dorm and around campus and am excited for the new year.

So today i finished my last class of the day and went over the the campus book store to buy a new pen. ( Mine died the class before) I was looking around the pens/school supply section and I saw a cute girl looking for something. AT this point I had no intent to approach because she had headphones on.

After a few minutes of looking and making my selection of pens I saw her standing by the counter waiting for someone with out her headphones in. I thought she might be waiting for a friend or an employee.

It was at this point I nutted up and told my self to go and talk to her, even if i didn't get her number.

"Do you need help with anything?"

"Do you work here?"

"No, but I might be able to help." I smiled

"Yeah, I'm waiting for one of the people who work here to see if they have anymore sketchbooks." She points towards the back

"I was looking for those too. What class do you need it for?"

"For my drawing class, I need to take a drawing class for my major, architecture."

"Cool, what makes you interested in architecture?"

"I like to design things and it seems like a good profession to have."

"I've always wonder the difference between architecture and engineering."

"I think architecture is more design and engineering is more math and science, though you do have to take calculus for architecture."

"BTW, whats your name?"

"I'm Architecture Amy. Whats yours?"

"I'm throwaway4pantsnpuss, nice to meet you." Shakes hands, pulls out phone

"I'm gonna head out, but I should take down your number, and maybe we could hang out or get coffee sometime."

"Yeah, sounds good."

I hand her my phone and she puts her number in

"It was nice meeting you Architecture Amy, I'll text you later."

"Nice meeting you too."

I was in and out within 3 minutes

WOW I did it guys, I've always been afraid of cold approaches. The way i usually meet girls is by already having something in common(class, friends, etc)

Thanks for all the help guys
