So I was with the same girl since I was 15 years old and I am now 25. No idea how I found Seddit, but you crazy bastards came along at just the right time. Anyways, I've been lurking here and the past two weekends I've gone out and tried my damnedest. First thing I learned about my area, there is barely any HB. I'm moving to portland.

So I'm out at a bar helping a few of my friends run sound for this band. Zero HB's all night. Ridiculous. Finally about an hour before bar close one HB7 and her friend show up. As they are taking off their coats near the soundboard I approach them and offer/take the HB7's hand and say, "Hello, official greeting from the band." HB7 responds with, "So you can play?" Me, "If I wanted to, but I'm just hanging out over here tonight." I point at the soundboard and my other friend waves. They both walked up to the bar to order drinks, and I went back with my friends. Being cold, there is a small smoking shack in the back of the bar and I kept an eye out for her to go. I yoinked a cig from my friend as she went outside and I met her in back. Chit Chat, she's grabbing my arm to check out my tatoos, all good stuff. Her friend comes back and tells her it's time to go, and I say, "Let me get your number before you go, you can come with us next time there's a show." The friend immediately jumps up and says, "You can put your number in my phone if you want, but we're here to keep each other safe." Me with a big shitty grin, "Keep each other safe? But I'm trustworthy, ask anyone." I start grabbing random people and forcing them to tell these girls I'm a good guy even though I don't know them. The obstacle girl was not giving in though, and the HB7 just kept looking at me with a, 'i don't know what to do look'.

Any tips on what I could have done differently to pick up this girls number?
