So, I decided on sort of a whim 2 weeks ago that I'd volunteer to help with the science olympiad today. It started at 8 and I almost didn't go, but ultimately decided that I made a commitment and they might need me.

I worked for 4 hours and around the lunch break this cute girl shows up. I'm a chemistry undergrad, and she's a biology graduate student. Wayy out of my league. With a little bit of help from one of my professors at the event, I got the upper hand and I think I piqued her curiosity, and so as the event was winding down to a close I thought about asking for her number to set up a date later.

I thought about how she was out of my league, and there was another 30 year old guy going after her too. Much bigger than I am and better looking. Then I caught myself and reminded myself that things like this are why I've been investing in increasing my own personal value, and also that if I asked and he didn't, the answer would be yes for me and no for him. That's exactly what happened. I got her number and I think she's interested, but I don't really know what to do next.

I'm throwing a potluck at my house tomorrow at 5 and I've had this girl's number for all of an hour and a half. Should I invite her? How long do I wait to text her? She's a grad student what have I gotten myself into? What do I do next?
