This is my first post on reddit, so if I fuck something up, sorry. The good news is that I got five phone numbers tonight, the bad news is that I did it without making a single approach.

Background information: I'm a 20-year old American living in Fukuoka, Japan. I'm reasonably attractive back home, but, possibly because I'm tall (194cm) and blonde, I'm probably an HB9 here. I also wear a top hat and dress shirt. People here seem to think that's awesome.

Anyway, several weeks ago, some tiny fellow interviewed me for a Japanese TV show (I'm not famous, just foreign and weird-looking). I figured it was a Youtube thing and didn't think much of it.On my way home from class today, I had a pair of girls flag me down. This happens sometimes (they usually want a picture), but I had my headphones on, so I was a little surprised. They explained they saw me on TV today and wanted to meet me and get a picture. I didn't make much of an effort to continue the conversation (mind still blown). All of the sudden I was getting more looks and smiles than usual. I had two more groups stop me and talk to me, so I was in state all day. Flattery is awesome.

Then, as I was making my way across a crosswalk, I had someone wave me over. They didn't mention the show, so I assume they didn't see it. Soon after his two male friends and seven female friends gathered around for Q/A with the Gaikokujin. We chatted for a bit (where are you from, how old are you, how tall are you?) and I tried to engage the group as much as I could. The guy and one of the girls (the two with the best English) fucking loved me. The girls were literally pushing each other to shake my hand. Eventually, I suggested we sit down somewhere and we found a suspiciously convenient circular bench, gathering around it like a campfire. We kept chatting, and pretty much all the girls tried to touch me as much as possible (reverse-kino, baby). At some point, three guys came up and made a magician joke and pretended to hypnotize his friend. He then proceeded to speak to me in perfect English, which I complimented. The dude had amazing pull and I was ready to hand him a few girls (after all, I don't need seven), but his friend cockblocked him and they left. I chatted with the group for a bit and four of the girls gave me their numbers; everyone took down mine. They headed off to bed and I went for a walk, hitting my favourite arcade on the way home, buzzing with that "girl number" high you get. I tried to hit the closing crowd on the arcade, but I balked because I'm a ninny. I sauntered home, trying to keep my inner game running, but I didn't make it home, because I was stopped by a street vendor I met a few days ago. He was chatting up a girl and introduced me. She just graduated and was a little bit drunk, but she wanted to practice english as bad as I wanted to practice Japanese, so it worked. Street-vendor guy was definitely maybe going for her. Or wingmanning for me. I don't know which, honestly. He did a decent but sloppy magic trick and I covered for him, but he took a walk to talk to a friend, so maybe he was trying to set me up with her. I don't know. I got her number and a "please call me" with a little heart. TL;DR: I'm not approaching, but random guys on the street are handing me women. Natural game, am I just a very lucky AFC, or is it magic?

Edit: Formatting (typed this on my phone). Also, should I have mentioned that I work at a host club? They seemed super excited and wanted to know which one and what my host name was, but it's like dating a stripper, right?
