Hey guys, long time lurker here. I've been recently getting back into the game and it's been a good time relearning it. Lately I've been going solo, because my friends all work on my night off. I have never done this before, but let me tell you that with confidence this is the best. I actually make a point of having a good solo day/evening to myself to go out and have fun. No wingmen, no cockblocks, just me and my bad self doing it up!

So there I was this weekend chillin at one of my favorite clubs, when epiphany after epiphany started to roll in, like I had just rediscovered myself in the most awesome way. So I'm going to try and break these epiphanies down, maybe someone here will benefit from it.

  1. While standing at the bar a hot blonde who turns out to be married walks up and starts chatting with me. This chick would do anything to live my lifestyle and drop hers. She even made me promise her that I wouldn't get tied down for at least 4 years. This made me realize, that while everyone complains about their current situation, very few ever take a moment to realize that what you wish you had, someone else is trying to get rid of. She was interesting and sweet, and her husband was a hell of a guy. Lesson here was appreciate what you have, and always be open to meeting someone new. Who knows, maybe they will be cheerleaders for you.

  2. After meeting this really cute chick with a little bit of an emo/hipster vibe going on, we hit it off and were having a great time in the club. She was sweet, and all around playful, it also helped that her friends thought that I was pretty cool. At one point mid-silence she looked at me and declared, "you are so confident!". I wasn't surprised since silence in the presence of a stranger can come off this way. As they taught me in sales training back in the day...After making a proposition the first to speak loses. So guys, be unwavering in your confidence and self-amused. That's really all there is to it.

  3. The next day I was chilling out at a bar with some friends grabbing food and shooting the shit, when one of the girls in the group looked at me and said that I struck her as someone that she wouldn't be able to understand. This wasn't a first for me, but having it contrasted with my success the night before, and I began to understand why she said that and why I have been described as intimidating before. I was sitting there chilling having friendly convo with my buddies but I wasn't doing anything to keep the air light, and she was intimidated because of it. Well there are likely a few other things intimidating about me, but I'm not going to go into that. The thing I realized here was that what she was experiencing isn't much different than how a lot of the guys here do when approaching a girl they are into. She was intimidated because she made a snap judgement about me based on her perceptions and what she was being told by my friends. Once she realized that she was wrong, it was obvious that she was able to lighten up a little and actually converse with me. So guys don't fall in her trap. Stay away from snap judgments, and approach with a clear head, it will likely turn out better than you think.

Sorry for the long report guys, it was a wild weekend with much debauchery. I had these things come through as "AHA!" moments and felt the need to share.
