TL;DR first time consciously thinking of lessons from seddit, use in the field to talk to a HB9 and HB7, don't close because I'm a fool, I will next time.

So a little background: I'm 17 grade 12 in high school, never had confidence issues besides the fact that I never approach girls. I am good looking and girls pick up conversations with me often - in fact more often then I thought once I started looking for it - and I maintain conversation but never escalate.

I don't know why but I never think of asking them for their number or asking them out at all. I had this mentality that I don't care for a girlfriend for some reason. I am hooking up at parties often enough, so maybe I didn't see a reason. Idk.

I have been reading this subreddit for a week or so, and starting to realize how many missed opportunities I have had, and decided to change that and improve my conversation skills, my AA, and my escalation.

On to my FR: Warming up

Woke up this morning late but feeling pretty good. Go to the study room (where people go to work during spares) sit down at a table with some people I study with, but don't hang out with often. One HB8, a HB7 and a gay guy (not that relevant but sets up the situation)

HB8 and guy are talking so I talk to HB7

Me: Hey HB7! grinning

HB7: Hey! smiles

Me: watcha doin?

HB7: study blah blah blah English vocab blah blah twisting hair

Me: maintain eye contact English is so easy huh?

HB7: blah blah blah

The bell rings and I say

Me: Walk with me.

HB7: Okay grinning

Then I ask here some other questions about where she is going for uni and start escalation just touching arm while we walk etc, not amazing but more than I've done before. In the future maybe asking more interesting things would be better I'm not really interested in her.

#2: English

In English class talking to a HB7.5, she is really into me, might ask her out next week. Leaning over and practicing escalation a bit, this is easier than I thought. BTW the HB7#1 from before is in this class, but to far away to talk to. I guess my flirting with these 2 girls would be a DHV.

A HB7 (this is hard to rate, she has a HB6 face but an incredible sports body) sits next to me.

I'm teasing her about something she said.

HB7: It's a comparison essay because this movie is kind of like (book)! giggling because I start to laugh

Me: You're crazy! smiles

HB7: (here she tries to explain herself, qualifying) I maintain eye contact and she can't finish the sentence because she is laughing

Start to get up to leave, because class is over, she is playing with a pencil sharpener.

HB7: this is soooo cute! starting giggling as I walk past grinning

What?

Me: shake my head

As I walk away she turns around and has a huge smile on her face, and I stick my tongue out at her. She laughs.

She catches up with me as I'm walking. I ask her about some random stuff, but no kino (I forgot). She is laughing at everything I say, but I think she's just like that. Lots of IOI's though, too many.

Later that day walking to french class, HB9 from class stops me.

HB9: Hey do you know if we are in the computer lab? I don't want to go upstairs to check when we are so class to the lab. smiling

Me: maintain eye contact and grinning I honestly have no idea, lets check!

We walk the 4 feet to the computer lab (it was right behind us, kind of an IOI because she could have just looked herself). Nobody is there so we start walking to class.

Me: You are so lucky you are fluent in French, the (insert tough oral dissertation we have to do) is soo hard! smiling

HB9: yeah smiles they are just annoying for me!

Me: I bet you are in French just to show off huh. shit eating grin

Her: No! laughing

Then she just starts taking about how she speaks french at home and her mom made her practice French during the summer when she was younger.

Me: Every year they tell me Ill get better at French but every year it gets harder and I still suck! grinning

Her: Your not that bad! smiling

I start laughing.

Her: okay maybe you are. laughing

I was using kino this whole time, just a little on her arms and stuff. Turns out she runs where I play soccer, and at the same time. We get to class and we talk a bit, throw negs back and forth etc. This is awesome because I've never really talked to her before, forgot her name though (fuck!).

4 and 5

After school I am walking and I see the HB9 from before, just as I'm about to cross the street.

Me: Hey smiling, eye contact etc

Her: Hey which bus are you taking? (We where near 2 bus stops)

Me: That one! grinning I point across the road

Her: I'm taking this one! (On this side of the road) gives me an awe face

Me: Damn, bye!

Her: cya

Then the bus pulls up I realize transit police is getting on and I forgot my pass at home. I miss the bus but I run across the street.

Me: Hey put my hand on her shoulder

Her: Hey grinning (I think she thought I just came to talk to her, I should have really)

Me: Listen, I only have a dollar and I need 75 cents more for the bus? Do you happen to have some change? smiling

Her: I think so... smiling

Then she fumbles around for some change, but kind of nervously which I took as an IOI. We start counting coins together from her purse which eventually adds up to 75 cents and we are laughing and giggling the whole time. I say thanks, cya and I cross the street again. Now we are on opposite sides of the road and I see HB7#2 from English (the giggly one).

I ask her what she is doing taking this bus she is heaving on the IOI's. I ask her what she wants to do in uni and after and she talks for a whole until the next bus comes. She is laughing at my responses and the best part is the HB9 sees this from across the street, I don't look but maintain eye contact. We bus together, then she gets off and I say bye. The end of day 1.

I learned a lot about kino and a realized to much is very hard to do, so I need to more. Also I didn't close, because I always forgot or was too stupid. I should have stayed talking to the HB9 too a bit longer.

Anyway this is probably long and boring but I wanted to write it down to learn off of it so I figured I would post it here. If you have any input it is very welcome.
