Context: A large (1,500 capacity), loud, packed club in London's West End on Saturday night. I'm out with 3 wings, plus there's another 3 PUAs I know a little in the club.

1) I see a French girl (HB8) I saw in the same club a few weeks ago. Last time I had started to dance with her but then her friend got bored and dragged her off.

Me: I remember you

Her: Yes

She shoots me a knowing grin. I think she likes me, but shes playing coy.

Me: You were wearing the sexy USA flag denim shorts

Her: Yes!

Me: With your cute little hamster face

Her: What?

Me: You've got a face that makes you look like a cute little hamster.

Her face drops. She storms off looking really upset.

Analysis: She didn't like the tease and I got blown out by upsetting her. I thought about this and it's quite rare for this to happen to me. It's easy to think I did something wrong here, but the truth is this wasn't really miscalibrated. Any tease is a risk which is one of the reasons teasing is attractive.

2) I grab hold of a girls' arm on the dance floor and pull her towards me. She resists. I shoot her grin. She backs off.

Analysis: Attempted a dance floor pull and she wasn't interested.

3) With 2 wings on the dance floor. A wing opens a 3 set. A blonde HB8 breaks away from the set and opens me.

She just introduced herself and put her hand out for me to shake.

Me: That's a firm handshake for a girl

Her: Yes it is

Me: Ah, you're and Aussie, that explains it.

At first I thought she was just talking to me because of my wing opening her set (being social) but then I realize she's nervous. She's hitting on me. When I realize this I immediately up the kino a little and tell her she's cute. When a girl hits on you I think your first priority is letting them know that you're not rejecting them. If you try and be all challenging when they approach, they often think you're rejecting them. Being challenging can come later.

It's loud but we chat on the dance floor a while. I escalate kino a little, but in retrospect to slowly. She goes back to her friends before I can get the KClose, but keeps staring at me. This isn't over yet. She motions for me to go to the bar. I motion for her to join me. Things will be so much easier later if I get a lot of compliance now. I ignore her. About 5 minutes pass. We frequently look at each other across the dance floor.

My wing has been blown out by her friend. He asks me if I'm going to go back to her because he says it's his set and he wants to hit on her. Now, wing rules tend to dictate he who opens the set owns the set, but, he got blown out of that set, he was hitting on her friend not her when he opened the set (she wasn't the target), and she left the set to open me rather than me coming into the set and talking to her.

I tell him I'm not going back in yet. It's too loud to explain the full situation to him. I'm essentially still in set with her, I haven't been blown out. I'm just taking my time. He waits few minutes then reopens her. He's trying really hard with her and stays waaaaay after he's been blown out. She repeatedly physically pushes him away. She gropes my ass while he's tying to talk to her. I know this guy often pushes a bit hard, but he was way over the top on this set. Finally her friends grab her and he accepts he's been blown out.

My wing leaves the dancefloor. I think she'll reapproach me now I'm alone, but a few minutes pass and she doesn't. I decide I'll just have to reopen her. I do so and her friends instantly push me away. I'm a but suprised, but I don't let it phase me. She's still staring at me.

I go to the toilet just down the corridor from the dance floor. When I come out she's stood right outside. I soon realize she's waiting for me, and has isolated herself from her friends for me. At this point I'm already thinking I can fuck her tonight.

I pull her into me and we chat. A little about each other. It turns out her friends are going to another club soon.

Me: You can stay with me, I'll look after you.

Her: No you won't, you just want to have sex with me

Me: I'm sure we'll get around to having sex at some stage, but I'll still look after you.

Her: It's my friend's last night in London, I can't leave her. You could come with us to the club, but my friends don't like you.

Me: Why? They don't even know me. Maybe they just look at me and think I'm a zero.

Her: When I look at you I don't see a zero.

Me: I know, baby

I kiss close her.

Me: Which club are you going on to?

Her: I don't know

Me: Introduce me to your friends, they will like me

She introduces me to one of her friends. It turns out that my wing who opened her had also opened her last weekend, and she thinks he's weird. He asked her if she likes sticking her tongue in guy's assholes, or something like that. So it turns out she thinks I'm weird by association. I can't convince her otherwise, and she won't tell me what club they're going to.

They leave and I number close the girl, telling her I'll find out what club she's going to or take her for a drink some other time. She says I should follow them to the new club. I don't do this for a number of reasons:

  1. London clubs can be quite spread out, they could get a taxi / public transport and I lose them (bear in mind her friends didn't want me following).

  2. London clubs often don't let men in on their own, so I might not get in

  3. My coat is in the cloak room. If I collect it I might lose their group.

  4. It's quite high investment from me for a girl who has little invested in me.

I decide to text her in a bit to try and find out what club they were in. If it was nearby I might be able to persuade a wing to go there with me. I text her later, no reply. I try contacting her later in the week, but the number is a flake.

Analysis: I girl instantly found me attractive. I got the SNL vibe from her, but a mixture of shitty logistics and negative social proof got in my way. I don't think there was much I could have done here. I expected the flake after the SNL fell through.

4) Outside in the smoking area, I see a lone HB7 smoking

I open her asking for a cigarette. A true indirect set in that I was actually wanting a cigarette to start with. A couple of minutes in I decide she's decent looking and I will make some sort of attempt to pull her.

We chat and I realize that when I'm in state I talk too fast and sometimes talk a little gay. I do this now, and realize it's happening.

After around 10 minutes of chatting to her and building a little rapport, I try and get her to come to dance with me. She doesn't want to.

Analysis: In this set my banter was good but my non verbals were bad:

  1. Lack of kino
  2. Poor eye contact
  3. Spoke too fast
  4. Sounded gay once or twice

I can do this correctly, but sometimes let myself go. Need to keep an eye on this.

5) On the dance floor I grab an HB7 by the arm.

We dance for a bit, with a bit of grinding, then she walks off.

Analysis: She was only interested in dancing.

6)I'm standing with my friend and see a blonde HB7 who I've seen at the club before. She has a great ass and always dances very sexually.

We lock eyes but neither of us smile. She walks off with her friend. Later I see her and her friend in a different room of the club, dancing. I go and say hello to her and start dancing with her. I mix grinding with her and talking to her. I'm not a great dancer, but mover her around a lot to display dominance over her. I mix between dancing / talking to her and backing off to show non neediness for a few minutes and then go for the KClose. She freaks a little bit and backs off. I dance on my own for a while. She keeps coming near me so I grab her again and dance. She runs her finger down my chest so I pull her in closer. She moves back so I back off too. I end up dancing on my own again and her and her friend leave. I see her once more in the night but ignore her as she shakes her ass near me.

Analysis: From what I've seen of this girl I get the feeling she's there for validation rather than sex. I could have been a bit more aggressive in trying to pull her, but I'm not convinced it would have made a difference.
