Alright, so regularly I wouldn't type one of these. But I know it's highly encouraged for newbies like myself to write these down so here goes.

First a little background, my self confidence hit an all time low when a girl I had one-itis on strung me along and dated another guy, whom she has been with for the past 4 years (2008-present). It has taken me a long time (2 and a half years) to get over that and I did last year and have been using r/seduction to help me realize there are tons more chicks out there for me.

Anyway, so me and one of my best friends (let's call him Bill) reach a club. We arrive at around 10:30, club is dead. Decide to wait half an hour. Club has reached capacity by this point. I see a girl in one of my classes at the bar. This is my first sober approach ever in a club setting. I open directly by asking her if she goes to my school, and then ask her if she's in my class. She denies (unless she has an identical twin, I know for a fact that she's in my class). I play it off and end up asking her was program she's in and whether she enjoys it. For some reason, I wait until she's done before telling her to have a nice night and I move on. She gave no indication that she wanted to end the conversation and instead waits for what I say next. This is one of my failures here. She has a friend but Bill is having some AA and doesn't help me out here.

The rest of the night I try to help Bill be more direct and approach the girls he has his eyes on. Unfortunately while helping him, I end up neglecting my own progress. We end up looking around, finding chicks, moving in and not having the balls to talk until a couple of minutes have passed. I know this is wrong, we need to be more direct, approach with energy and say anything really. We learned our lesson.

It took us a while to start dancing but once we did, we found ourselves surrounded by groups of 4 chicks each, where each girl was looking out for her friends and stopping guys from talking to them. This was my first attempt at using the advice here. What did I do wrong and how can I improve? Also, if I see this girl in my class again I'm going to just ignore her since I don't give a fuck, is this the correct approach?

What I learned: Be direct, ask questions that require elaboration as opposed to yes/no questions, have fun and girls will be more open to talking, dance... A LOT (duh), approach more girls than just one.

So the night is over, and I'm at home typing this at 2:40am. There is something that feels different though. I've gone to clubs before had fun and come home but something always feels empty because I think of all the girls there and the fact that I didn't approach any of them. Even though I messed up tonight I feel GREAT and I couldn't explain why. Then it hit me. I LEARNED something today. Not only that, it's much better for something to not work for sure then for you to wonder what could have been. This is what will drive me to continue with this. Thanks r/seduction for giving me a glimpse into your world.
