Lead Up You Can Probably Ignore I start off the night with one of my friends who is celebrating his birthday and a bunch of his friends. They are at some ghetto bar where the only action to be had was hood rats and fat white chicks looking to hook up with black dudes or at least a white dude pretending to be black. I convince everyone this place sucks and we all embark to a much better location. Somehow, fortunately, only four of us actually make it to the bar. It is my friend Phil (the only one with even moderate game), Jen (a fun girl I've known for a bit but not really very cute) and Alex (a zero: nice kid and doesn't make a situation worse but doesn't add anything too it). They are all drunk and I am not so I start with the Long Islands to play catch up but Phil for some reason keeps ordering them too (this important to note for later). The bar we are at is loaded with prospects but Phil seems determined to go to somewhere to dance. Not usually my scene but I give in and we head to a nearby dance club/bar.

Important Part when we get to the club we order some more Long Islands and head to the dance floor. The scene is fun but the others in the group seem content to stick to ourselves. I attempt to open some sets but I don't normally do dance clubs and nothing leads to anything. Around the edges of the dance floor are these raised platforms (like 2 feet or so) you can stand on. Jen and I manage to nab one platform and Phil gets another to himself. A big group of HB7/8s run onto the dance floor. One of which jumps on our platform and two more onto Phil's. I start dancing with the girl on my platform and she is very receptive. Maybe 5 minutes later Jen asks if I want her to wingwoman. I thought I was doing pretty good myself so I tell I can handle myself. She ignores me and starts talking to the other girl for maybe 60 seconds. I don't know what she said but she ended it with them turning to me and Jen saying you should totally make out with him. And this girl does. We spend the rest of the night dancing and making out. Meanwhile Phil is getting sandwiched in between two girls grinding him. Our platforms are just close enough we can cheers each other every once in a while. After the place starts to shut down me and Phil are informed that these girls are taking the dance party back to their friend's place and we are invited. At this point I was trying to balance my time between keeping up the attraction with my girl, make her friends laugh and hint to Jen and Alex their job was done and they should probably bounce. They do not seem to take this hint at all though and continue to follow like a half block behind the rest of us. We get to the apartment and are waiting for their friend to come let us in when Phil disappears. I go to grab him and see him around the corner puking all over but has Jen and Alex taking care of him. So I run back over to the girls. I can see them through the glass door of the lobby standing in the elevator door as it shuts. My girl making a pouty face and waving bye. WTF!!

The Next Day I get a voice message from the girl apologizing for ditching me and saying that apparently the girl who lived in the apartment was having a tantrum and crying or something like that and didn't want any strangers up there. I called her later that day and she apologized again for ditching me and here is where I think I went wrong. I told her it was no big deal and actually worked out for the better in a way. We agreed to hang out the next weekend and she never answered another call from me again.

Conclusion Should I have given her some more shit for ditching me? I thought I was being less outcome dependent by seeming like I didn't care that she bailed on me.

Thoughts?
