This is my first FR. Very much a fail. I can only take from the night things I need to improve on because my warped AA got in my way. I'm going to ask a lot of questions since this is my first FR so I hope some stuff can get answered, but they are also questions that let you guys into my head a little bit.

I decided to go out downtown solo and hit up the bars. I have never been much of a bar go'er as I just turned 22. I have no clue how to act at these places if I come solo. This is my social inexperience in these situations talking.

My first Bar i walked into was an irish pub with a decent number of people crowded around the bar and people eating at tables. The first thing that popped into my mind was: I have no clue what to do here. Everyone one else looks like they came in groups and I'm here solo. Do I take seat at the bar and strike up a conversation with the person next to me? Do people get upset/annoyed when you try and do that? Anyways I couldn't find a seat so I get a drink from the bartender and just stand around people watching while I finish my beer. Then I leave. (Its very imporant to keep in mind that I have no clue what to do in these situations, it seems easy for you guys, but generally I have no clue whats socially acceptable at bars to do. I really want to talk to people and communicate)

I crawl to the second bar which is more of a basement to this restaurant where its loud music, dancing, a bar, and a tv. I see two girls a 0 and a 1. The 1 is not an absolute shocker and shes dancing with her friend and they both look bored/looking at their phones. I would have went up to them but the music is too loud to get any words out. How would you guys deal creating attraction in an environment where its too loud to have a conversation?

Third bar I go to is on the second floor of this restaurant. It has a live band a plenty of people around. Again, I have no clue what to do in these bar situations. I go up to the bartender, get a drink, and head to the floor where the band is playing. I take a seat and listen to them play and generally vibe out. I enjoy live music so I was pretty entertained. There was a group of 1 guy and 3 girls there who were next to me, but again it was way too loud to casually walk up and strike a conversation. The most I would get out is one or two words and to try to talk to someone there would not work out too well. After the show was over, I headed home. I didn't feel defeated, because I want to get better at this. I just have no clue how the general bar scene goes when solo. I can go with friends and kick it with them, but I don't leave the group often.

TLDR; I have a social anxiety going to bars where I don't understand what is ok and is not ok. This probably stems from an AA that I have where I assume things are going to happen without even trying them. It would really help me out if you guys could answer some of the questions in my FR. Thanks and Good luck.
