My goal for the night was to introduce myself to as many women as possible. I saw some success before but I am still a noob and am not even thinking about any f or k-close.
TLDR: I am looking for ways to either keep my shirts from looking like a 2 tone, dunked my head in water pattern (with different colors or fabrics maybe). Maybe there are shirts out there that look good with sweat. Or is there a way to take my mind off the sweat or keep myself off the dance floor without turning into a wallflower. I had trouble with this issue tonight. Also, I would like to know how to get the attention of a girl on the dance floor effectively and get her to the bar where I can talk to her.
Background: I am a 20 something that was dumped by the hottest girl I have ever met (think world class hot). I just awoke to the possibility that I have to train myself to be a better all around guy. I am trying to start a new chapter in my life where I am not afraid of people I do not know or unfamiliar situations. I am trying not to become someone's sugar daddy anymore no matter how hot the girl is (Even if she is a bunny).
The Club Night: I got to the club around 10-11ish after painstakingly selecting my shirt and undershirt. It was pretty dead when I got there. I felt awkward so I approached the first girl I saw. She was about average. We talked about work a bit but I felt awkwardly sober (I kept thinking... stay cool, don't drink yet). I offered to buy the next round, excused myself to the restroom and when I left, I realized that she had decided to leave the bar and go to the next room... haha I creeped her out o well. (girl 1 ranaway)
Second girl decided to come up next to me to sit. I said, "hello, my name is... " She responded politely and said her own name but she kept her attention on her friends nearby. Couldn't draw her attention away enough to talk. So I danced around her and then before I knew it, I was walking over to the next room. She was still paying me no mind when I left. (girl 2 rejected)
Next room, I started dancing next to this girl who was tearing up the dance floor. (awkward average girl from the first approach passed by and I started thinking about what I did wrong). I couldn't bring myself to introduce myself properly to the new girl because she was loving the music and I was thinking about the awkward approach from before. I tried to say something but I think the music was too loud. 10 minutes went by and I decided I didn't like the music and went back to the otherside, where I danced my heart out. (girl 3 was too busy)
Before long, I was dancing with this random chick (girl 4) and decided it was time to say something. "Hi, my name is..." Then I realized I was sweating. I ran to the bathroom to pat myself. When I came back, I saw some new guy next to the girl (girl 4 had a loose connection to me). So I said screw it and left the club to dry myself off.
By the time I came back, club was hopping. I approached a girl (5) from behind and when she turned around, I was thrown off because I did not find her attractive at all and realized she would be my last choice in the club I was at. I shuddered a bit and realized she saw it and rudely turned around. Oops. I was thinking about sweat so much at this point, I couldn't focus on the moment and have fun.
Bad points and things to improve: I thought about sweat too much and must either correct it or ignore it completely. I must learn to have fun despite anyone there. I have to learn how to ignore a girl's flaws until I am done introducing myself. I have a tendency to pass judgment too quickly and make faces if something is wrong. (Unfortunately, I have training as a photographer to look for flaws and instantly try to correct so this messes up my game for anyone but the hottest women or the most ignorant, it is best if the girl is both for the first minute.) I have to learn how to direct conversation. I have done this at work with several girls and make them laugh in the process, but I can't seem to do it outside of work. I have actually gotten more than one girl at work to respond positively and engage with me in conversation but I must learn how to do it everywhere.
Good points: I am handling loads of rejection really well, surprisingly. I just don't give 2 craps about what anyone says anymore, because it is a shallow judgment no matter what they say. They only knew me for 5 minutes... the girl doesn't know shit about me. I stuck to my goal of getting at least 5. I did not reach my milestone of hitting 20 but I think I could have definitely done it with extra shirts or something. I had fun.
Conversation Threading: Any suggestions on how not to sweat about my sweat? I would like to either correct or ignore completely. Or hide the problem effectively.
Pointers on how to get the awesome dancing girl would be good as well.
