Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a little and I wanted to share my experience as a way to thank the community for the help they unknowingly gave me.

Tonight, on a cold and rainy night, I decided to accompany my friend to this little pub that had an open mic night. To my surprise the big vast room was mostly void of people, let alone good looking women of my age. I told myself it's not a big deal and kept on with my night. A few gin tonic and ear numbing amateur players later, we decide to pay a visit to the pool tables. The balls and time tabs were taken care of by the bartender. Enters player two. A nice young lady with a big charming smile! We get the balls and play about half an hour. That's when I made my approach. Sitting next at the bar, enjoying the music playing that was way too loud to have any decent conversation. I took this time to gather my courage as it is officially the first lady I "cold" approach this way. After what might has seemed to be an eternity for me and a few minutes of texting on her phone for her, I finally grew my balls.

Me: I heard it's relatively quiet for an open mic, what do you think? Her: Oh it's my first shift on the open mic, but it's pretty decent traffic! Me: Good for the tip I bet! I'm ChowderII by the way! [Insert big smile] Her: I'm Jessica, nice to meet you. We now shake hands. I tell her: Hey, do you usually give your number to customers? Her: no, I'm not allowed while on the clock. Me: what really? How am I supposed to get it then?? She looks at me with a little smirk and gives me a sign to pull out my phone.

And that's how I got the cute bartenders number. To any guys out there worried how they're going to do it: just do it. Whatever they tell you after you said Hi I'm Chowder bla bla is a success in your book.

Now for the pros here, I have a quick question if you can spare the time. Since I've never gotten a number that way, when do you think is a good time to text/call her to setup a date? I'd like to hear your thoughts!
