Step 1: Go with friends Step 2: Order drinks (you should have one in hand at all times to not look weird) Step 3: Talk to your friends Step 4: Talk to a hottie (Optional: Buy her a drink) Step 5: Dance with hottie Step 6: Talk again, intro to friends, etc... Step 7: Get number/kiss/get her to leave with you

If step 7 fails, repeats step 1-7.

Nobody's really covered this but basic protocol when ordering a drink and tipping the bartender is about 1-2 dollars per drink (or 15%-20% of the total tab). And if you want him to hook you up, learn his/her name, be friendly, close out your first drink tab and tip WELL for that one drink. They will pour heavy on subsequent drinks since they'll remember you.

Being cool with the bar tender will DHV you through the roof as well.

DO NOT over drink. You are sloppy and disgusting when you get hammered and it's especially hard to properly observe a ladies body language if you can barely stand. Babysit your fucken drinks.

So I just turned 21 a couple weeks ago. Now that school has calmed down, I have time to go out. Bars seem like a good place to meet new people but the whole scene is confusing to me. What I am asking is, how do I bar? What are some tips/protocols when hitting the bar? I am tall and decently attractive for perspective. I live in Seattle.

Your age doesn't matter. The place doesn't matter too much either. The point is that bars are places to talk to strangers and/or enjoy a drink with friends. Bars often have side activities like pool, darts, karaoke, etc., and seeing as how bars are supposed to be fun, you may wish to choose a bar that has a good activity you like. This might seem obvious, but many guys get caught up in THE GIRLS and forget that the point can't be the girls or you'll become needy and repel those girls.

So find a fun place, go there, talk to PEOPLE (guys, not only girls) and you'll be on the right track.

Adding to what everyone what else I'll tell you about my success: Talk to everyone that looks receptive and creates the opportunity. You'll get drinks bought for you, get ins with women and get the Benefit of the doubt from other guys, and the bouncers, if there is any conflicts. You should have the mindset that you're out to have fun and meet people, Otherwise you're just a creep hitting on women (their view) . I've had women come up to me and tell me how great I am because I'm trying to get everyone else to have a good time.
