The last month I've noticed multiple friends pointed out to me that I was flirting with and asking out too many girls. What are your thoughts on this?

Some examples:

  • One friend (she dates my best friend) noted that among her friends I was asking talking to too many of them and that made them less interested in me, while in fact, I had only explicitly asked one of them out, and was talking to some others to see if there was any spark at all.
  • Another friend, whom I see about once a month, remarked that I had come across as a manwhore the past year (since I broke up with my ex). Again, I have had only three actually dates since then, none of which really panned out (none of the three were friends, and all on the down-low; no Facebook posts or anything), so this had me stomped.
  • Lastly, there was this girl who I met the day before she made things official with the guy she was seeing. She had the same vibe, even though we had just met and she turned me down because things were getting serious.

All in all, the perception people have surprised me, and I'm not sure what to make of it. There's obviously some truth to it, since each of them was a separate source (and they don't or hardly know one another). What do you make of all this, Seddit?
