I feel like its much easier for me to speak to girls that I don't know at all, like ones that I approach at bars because in the back of my mind I know that the worst case scenario is I don't get their numbers and we both just go out own ways and nothing has changed.

I've noticed I'm having more trouble with girls who I know or have connection to. I have one girl in a friend circle who gave me strong IOIs and we even matched on tinder, and we went out last night (with other friends and stuff) and it just never felt like a good time to make a move or anything like that and nothing happened between us. I also have a lab partner who has a hot roommate/friend. I met her once and was fairly charming. The second time I met her, her friend (my lab partner) came and told me that she (the roommate) thinks im cute. We matched on tinder the next day. I don't know what to even message her because unlike all other matches with random girls I'm afraid of coming off wierd and it getting back to her friend and affecting me.
