So this has some background. There are a group of girls at the local sports bar that I frequent after work with my buddy. They've gotten to be pretty friendly, bartenders, servers, all these 22-25 year old girls.

This one server is really cute, kind of friendly to the point of ditzy. Her friend asked my buddy if he knew about a local place having this event. The other one comes later, says we should go, seems genuine. As she's walking away I call out and mime a phone dial gesture, she comes back, puts in her number but might have been off about it.

Then a moment later i see them in the corner talking, looks like tension and I'm thinking either about inviting us or how I kind of put her on the spot with the number, accidental creep move.

Now i was pretty buzzed (take the train home), kind of tired and we'd been bullshitting with some old guys that happened to be next to us, kind of old man barfly vibes (like 50 year old UPS guy doing magic tricks with coins). I think we got some looks for that. I had a good thing going being nonchalant and flirty with this girl, but I'm just remembering being not playful at all, kind of tired, drunk and anxious out of character.

Now I know being drunk didn't help and some of its self explanatory. However was the way I asked for her number that bad? In my head at the time I was just being direct, thinking oh If were going to meet at this spot better have a number. Im guessing it was more of a see you there thing. The number wasn't really necessary. And I'm not even thinking about texting anyway.

I know there's not much to do about it but I kind of feel like a creep now. Curious to the degree though, how others see it. On the way out my friend made a point to say goodbye to this girl and she was still like see you there...
