So, for starters, I am 16.

I have never been socially awkward, or unpopular, or insecure about my appearance or anything. However, I can never seem to get the girl I want. Every girl that likes me is never one I'm interested in, and I can never get the ones I'm interested in to like me.

Because of this, I haven't had a serious girlfriend for the entirety of high school (I'm a junior).

I got a job this summer, and one of my coworkers is one of the most pretty, most funny girls I know, but I have only known her for a couple weeks. In fact, we just became Facebook friends today. My problem is that she is a year older, barely shorter than me (I'm assuming height matters to her) and measurably more popular than me. I know I can make her laugh, but idk much else. I know I'm too much of a pussy to ask for her number in person, and I don't know what I would message her on fb to get it. Also, idk how to overcome these insecurities I have over her.

Anyways, any help will be appreciated. I want to turn my luck around, and she seems like a girl I would genuinely enjoy having a relationship with. Thanks!
