Gents of Seddit,

Recently I've been hitting a small wall as regards solo gaming, that I'm sure many of you have experienced, but there seems to be little info on.

The past few nights I have been out, I've been riding solo, and doing pretty well for myself - being the centre of the room, having girls coming up and talking to me, and just generally being the club BAMF.

My issue though has been when opening sets (particularly 2 sets) without a wing. I will give a small field report to highlight my issue:

Working the club, got a home set of a few people I know/have just met, when suddenly in the smoking area, this HB8 with her HB5 friend take a seat nearby. I move over and light up a cigarette, as a friend of mine goes onto the phone.

"Guys, my friend's on the phone, could you be my new friends for the next 10minutes?" - they open receptively, with the HB8 doing most of the talking. I turn round, and start talking to the HB5 after negging the HB8. There are no seats left (I stole them), so HB5 sits on my knee, and I start chatting away. Naturally, I can't really isolate a 2set, so I work for #close with HB8. After some rapport building, and getting on well with the set, HB8 turns to me and says "Hey CluEleSs, we're going to the bar, you should give HB5 your phone number".

Wat.

Hb5?

But I want HB8 :/

I feel sometimes when I show disinterest to the attractive girl, the needy one (usually the ugly one) starts to crave my interest. This considered however, we are in a bit of a pickle:

a) I give HB5 lots of attention, HB8 little - i) HB5 likes me, HB8 thinks I'm needy/telegraphing ii) HB5 thinks I'm telegraphing, and the set leaves iii) HB5 likes me, HB8 tries to set me up with her

b) I give HB5 no attention, HB8 lots i) HB8 somehow likes it, HB5 gets bored and drags HB8 away ii) HB8 thinks I'm needy

c) I give neither HB5 or HB8 attention i) both girls are attracted to me, HB5 won't let HB8 have me ii) both girls are attracted to me, but HB8 "gifts" me to HB5

So gents, where do I stand? what can I do without a wing?
