You sound like a shy dude who's in his head way too much and afraid to make moves. And while a lot of guys are worried about women thinking we're unattractive/incompetent when we don't make moves (it can), it can also make women think we're uninterested. Perhaps it's a mix of the two here.

It's rough when things have so much build up to them. You'd been on 2 dates and wanted to finally make a move on date 3. Only, it still had to be "perfect." No way you could've done it as soon as you saw her... knowing that you wanted to, that the window was closing, and that the longer the date went on, the HARDER it would be to make a move. Because now you're in your head again. Now you're judging yourself again. And now here you are now 3 dates in with zero physicality to show for it. These things have an expiration date on them, and you might already be cooked.

So ya, this is obviously a bit weird/random. However, her "all of a sudden saying she had to go" is a perfect way to test for all the things I talked about above. Is this dude actually interested in me? What's his deal? Does he know how to make moves? WILL he finally make moves? And when she acted in such a random way, my guess is you didn't even flinch. Not a single word that showed you were disappointed/confused/surprised. Not a single word that showed interest and communicated that you were having a good time and that you wanted to keep things going. And better than words, ACTION. None of that either.

Well, you just proved her point.

"see you this weekend I guess" and left.

You were given yet ANOTHER and maybe final chance to show interest. Again, you did nothing.

Sounds like she lost interest. I don't know enough about her or you or the situation to know why. Just sounds like you had bad game and she was bored.

Sounds like she's making it not a date. Friends pay for their own drinks. Guys pay for drinks on dates

I don't mean to be an asshole, but you sound newish to game. When you're new to game small things seem like big victories -- "A girl smiled at me, that means it's going well" etc. Just cuz you thought it was going well doesn't mean she thought it was going well.

Most likely you weren't attractive enough, weren't interesting enough, and didn't make a move fast enough. Keep working on your game, let this one go.
