Quite recently I've been to two first dates with two girls who I had only met briefly before. I took them both out for drinks and then we went back to her or mine place.

Everything went really well during the dates, we made out and we ended up in bed (with heavy make out and touching). However, in both cases, when we were in the bed (one of them was even topless) they put up LMR. One of them said she never slept with anyone on a first date and the topless one said it was the wrong time of the month for her. In the last case I said it was allright, we could just cuddle, and when I suggested we take a bath she agreed, only to change her mind and quickly leave the house once I returned from filling the bath.

Now, of course, this might both be coincidences, but since none of them seem to want a second date despite the first one going really well I'm starting to suspect going for a F-close on the first date might be moving a little to fast and scares them off.

What's your take on this? Do you just build comfort and make out during the first date (if you aren't going for a relationship) or do you try to close her on the first?
