This past Nov-Feb, I went out with another Sedditor regularly, sometimes 3 or 4 times a week, and felt great. My results were next to nothing, just a couple of number closes total, neither of which amounted to anything. But I went on a couple dates with some girl off OkCupid, and just going out talking to girls felt so great after having not spoken to any for ~ 3 years. I felt I was in an upward spiral, and having a positive attitude was a huge change for me. Unfortunately, I have now lost this attitude, and I want to know if others have also dealt with this problem.

Life stuff keeps me in nowadays (and will almost totally for the next couple months), so no doubt the fact that I am not going out regularly is probably a contributor to my losing my mental/emotional gains. But I think it's more than that; I think the kind of honeymoon period is over. Before, when I went out and got lots of "nice to meet yous", I was like "ok, well now I need to show more intent" or blah blah, whatever; the point being, I felt it was just a natural milestone and I could overcome it. It still felt like somewhat of an achievement. Last night when I went out and lukewarm or merely polite responses, I just felt like an idiot. I just feel like a loser who goes out and tries lamely and unconvincingly to act like he's not a loser, but like it's plain to see that I am a loser, and I am starting to think that really, even the best responses I have gotten thus far while doing this have all been a matter of some girls just being polite and humoring me.

I don't want to have this attitude--honestly, I crave the positive mindset I had a few months ago more than any tangible results. But how do I disabuse myself of my gloom? I can't just think it away by myself at home, but if I go out, I just further internalize that I am an unworthy loser with every shit interaction I have.
