Thanks to this community I have finally secured my first ever date from a cold approach. I have actually never dated someone that I haven’t known previously. I have been on dates with 3 different girls in my life that I was friends with beforehand and also I have fucked two random girls in addition, but they were one night stands from nightlife so didn’t date them.

If you have any tips for this Wednesday that would be great. I dress and present myself quite well, but sometimes have trouble verbally escalating and making it too friendly and platonic. I plan to go to a bar seated next to her, I’m starting to give great eye contact and am finally comfortable with those awkward silences.

The story of how I met this girl is that I was out last Friday with a girl and a guy friend, and I didn’t make one single approach because I was just enjoying my friends company as it’s been a while. The last hour of the bar being open, my buddy ends up going to pick up girls. He sees two of them and basically cock blocks two guys who were terribly hitting on these two blonde girls.

Right away they saw my buddy was more fun and they essentially wrote the dudes off. My girl friend left home at this point, so I went up to the dudes and made convo with one of them quickly. But 10 seconds later, I get in the mood and start flirting with the hotter blonde one. I make an assumption and says that she looks Australian and she gets confused but laughs and a minute later is now super into the convo with me. My friend was trying to hit on her friend at the same time but she’s was quite snarky.

We actually get super deep into conversation but the bar is closing basically in 5 min, and I had work the next day so didn’t try to pull that night as it wouldn’t have worked out anyways. We exchange numbers, I text her my name and nice to meet you. She respond the night of with mutual things.

Then I text her today in the afternoon (2 days later), she leaves me on read (with a read receipt) for the whole day (I feel like this was a test) and then just messaged me at night and says sure and that she’s excited.
