Using throwaway for obvious reasons.

I am doing a bit of debrief from the weekend after what was probably the worst execution possible.

I responded to this chicks /r/r4r post and she was keen for some sexy time at her place. She wanted to have lunch prior to our meeting so that we could meet face to face which I was fine with.

Long story short during our lunch I found out that she currently has 3 fwb with whom she does not use protection. This was an obvious concern for me as STIs are a real thing. I started asking her more questions about the topic (to assess whether or not she was clean etc) and that no doubt killed any rapore (and indirectly insulted her).

This meant that our meeting going forward was on shaky ground - I wasn't sure if I wanted to put my fella into uncertain territory (even wrapped up) and the mood was terrible. In the end instead of sex she offered a BJ which I declined as she was doing it more to keep her end of our agreement rather than being keen on it (I didn't think it would be that enjoyable).

In an effort to build rapore I offered to meet for coffee and see where that takes us. She said herself that she took a bit of a hit to her ego when I declined her BJ and was now "emotional". In the end we did not end up meeting and our plans went from certain sexy time to drought and rejection (on both sides).

What are your thoughts about such a situation? How much do you consider STIs when meeting new partners? What would you have done in the above circumstances?
