Hey fellas,
I took a Sex Comm class last year of college. There was a FWB unit giving stats and studies on that type of relationship. I'm at work right now, but when I get home I'll dig up the actual papers and statistics.
I've used the guidelines learned in that class to have multiple FWB and I swear to these. I always bring these up before I leave that first night of the hookup.
- Frequency: How often do we do this? Text/booty call or "whenever I'm in town" or etc...
- Monogamy: Are we going to sleep with other people? Or just each other?
- Emotional Development: We have to be honest when either of us have emotions developing. This isn't a bad thing, it just has to be addressed. Relationships are constantly moving and changing, the common FWB mentality is that relationships stay constant.
Important: These three guidelines are all about establishing expectations. ~70% if FWB relationships end in the people still being friends. Remaining clear with each other is the key.
