Some backstory: I'm 23 and I graduated college last May and over the last 1-1.5 years have been doing game (went to school in a big city which helped a lot). Had a few hookups in the past year thanks to advice from this sub and friends. Never felt any attachment to these girls either.

Long story short, there's this girl (25) I went on a date with a month ago. Went well overall and said she wanted to see me again. Few days later I text her to make plans again and she came up with what to do for the date, which I thought was good. Next day she says she can't go and ends up confessing that she's not over her ex and isn't really looking for anything.

I still hung out with her a couple of times after just to observe the way she is around me but I don't think there's any changing her mind. I'm having trouble not getting over her because it's the first time in years I connected well with a girl since my ex from a few years back. I think about her, tempted to hit her up again at times to meet up, and just feel hurt because I know it's not a two way street.

I do still focus on myself by going to the gym and boxing, bought some clothes and a nice watch, got a dope haircut, see friends sometimes for a bit, but when I'm by myself I end up just thinking about her a lot. I know the best way to get over a girl is to see other girls, and that's my problem. I currently live back home with my parents so it'd be difficult to bring a girl back to my place. Also lately I'm finding it hard to get my friends to come out with me to the city for us to meet more girls, and it's much easier than going alone so I'm stuck in a rough spot. Just as a person I get in my head a lot which is a different issue of its own I need to sort out.

Do you guys have any advice?
