Hello talk, as well as interpals are apps that people use with the intention to "learn languages", but make no mistake, "exchanging language" its the excuse to just know more people without being direct or have to use apps such as tinder or bumble.

It makes things more relaxed and not too upfront.

I have a lot of suceed in this apps for exchange language thing. and tbh the process of seduction is more fun in this enviroment.

I was wondering if there's anybody who has used this app to do so and if that's the case, what sort of methods you used or if there is a specific post that discusses flirting on social media/exchange apps in general.

I've done it exactly 1year ago (now you made me wanting to do it again). That's what I did :

Open app and put a language you're truly trying to learn . For me was Spanish , bit I speak well English so I put also English between languages I wanted to learn.
Open chats as much as possible . Be nice, don't expect anything unless random chats.
Choose well your chicks. For instance , I searched for my city (digit like "New York" in search bar, I'm not sure you can do it in Hello Talk without paying, but I did it in Tandem), and found a chick that had my city in her description. So I opened chat and, lucky as I was, I had an afternoon out with her.
Be aware you've been not direct. And take the risk for this. I did this all before knowing about seduction and direct daygame (so maybe this is not your case, you already know good and bad aspect of indirect game) , but I knew the girl could possibly like me , but also I had not been direct on my intentions.

I have not understood what you mean about "post that discusses flirting on social media" , but I think the best way to flirt is to make some appreciation/neg (push pull) on her profile pic. And then, after a while, when the convo gets spicy, leave your number (I think it's almost impossible girls give first you their number on net, expecially in those apps) and move on whatapp or whatever.
