Okay, so I have no problems whatsoever with approaching. However, I approach, make a bit of random small talk then I usually get the number and bail and because I do that, I haven't built enough rapport.

I hate texting as well so like to go for the date asap. I'm getting a load of flakes after asking for the date because I never built that rapport in person or over text. Any advice?

I think what I should probably do is to stick with it longer in the initial interaction and maybe try and push it for an instadate/at least walk around a bit?

I don't know, bit stuck, any ideas on how I can get her out for a date with minimal texting after getting the number?

Brief example

Yesterday I was at the library, cute blond opposite me so I manned up and said she was cute, asked what she was working on, said okay I won't disturb you too much (she was working on something due tomorrow) but can I get your number. She gave it to me, I texted her my name to test then I left.

Me: Good luck on that deadline, you probably didn't go to the silent floor to get asked out. Couldn't help myself though haha. Celebration coffee/drinks when it's done? P.s. I'd offer to help but there's a reason I dropped chem..

Her:Thank you! yeah that sounds good. Haha, maybe I won't ask you then.

MeBefore we agree on sth I have a confession to make though..

Her: go on

Me I've got your name down as Leila but I swear it was something else.

Her: It's Leah, haha

Me Damnit not a good start. Anyway I'm not really one for texting a ton so.. How's Friday night or saturday afternoon sound?

As you can see my text game is horrible so that's why I think maybe I need to make the initial interaction better?? anyways open to any advice thanks. Constructive criticism pls
