Help With Hygiene/Scent

Baseline for me.

Double showers.
good soap, good shampoo and conditioner.
shaving cream and aftershave. If I had a beard, beard conditioner.
dentist, brush/floss/mouthwash 3 times a day.
antiperspirant.
lotion.
hair product.

Every day without fail. Pro tip, keep that stuff out of casual sight. You don't want to be mysterious per se. But you also never want the girl to know how much thought you put into things.

Plus -
- every room in the flat smells good.
- I also got incense and candles ready to go. If I smoked shisha, I'd have that as well.
- the car smells good.
- good detergent for the clothes but also for sheets, pillow cases, blankets, and towels.
- wash gym clothes separately from the rest.

Setting up your place is right is a finishing touch, and a different discussion. But you can bang a chick on a dirty mattress in a halfway house.

The only thing I change up is cologne. Warm and spicy in the cold months, clean and fresh in the warm months.

If you're buying cologne for the first time as a would be player, go to a spot and buy whatever is new and popular. After the first four, start with other stuff.

And you don't need a ton of it. Unlike a female, you don't want to leave a wake of aroma. But if she's in your personal space, she should notice.

If you're doing all of that and you still stank, time to head to the doctor.

I'd highly recommend a tongue scraper like Orabrush or something similar. Makes your breath not necessarily smell good, just unnoticeable. Makes you a lot more confident to go for the kiss.

You don't say how you smell exactly, so I am going to assume it's an overall body scent. In which case trying to simply cover it up is like spraying air freshener on a little pile of shit. Often times it's our internal chemistry that's off which is giving our bodies a irregular odor. So the first thing I would suggest you do is make sure you are taking a good Prebiotic everyday and probably a Probiotic too. Our gut health is responsible for so many health conditions we wouldn't even logically attach to, like clear skin for one, foul breath, skin that smells funny and then I could get to listing the serious health conditions. So, instead of spending so much effort trying to cover up the odor, spend the effort FIRST on trying to fix the problem. Dr. Ohirra's Prebiotics is a great one to use. Just take it at night before bed. With Probiotics, think of acidophilus, and you should get one that has many strains and live cultures as you can afford, take on an empty stomach in the morning.

Also, increasing your intake of green leafy vegetables like Kale, spinach, Chard, Romaine and Green Leaf lettuce etc.that provide good fiber will also help. Drink LOTS OF WATER. And I know guys are not good talking about this stuff, but make sure you're going to the bathroom regularly. If you don't think those toxins in your colon will seep through your skin after a while of not going and make you feel ugh, while giving you a strange odor ....you are wrong. Now to hygiene

If you sweat a lot and your B.O. is bad, then you need to buy a medicated type of anti-perspirant and deodorant. You can get them at regular stores. Just look for ones that say medicated and they'll cost a bit more. But they're designed for people who have really bad b.o.

Make sure you are changing your sheets regularly on your bed, changing the towel frequently you use in the shower and using Arm n Hammer baking soda when washing your clothes etc as that will help deodorize your fabrics.

There are also some medicated after shower powders for men to help with all the sweating and eventual smell that comes from that. I think Gold Bond makes one.

Don't pile on the cologne. Your body odor is stronger than cologne. But shower twice a day if necessary and you can use a little cologne like a any man. But if you think you're going to cover body odor with cologne...well that ain't gonna happen. However, I would recommend you find a tea tree oil infused shower gel and even buy some additional tea tree oil and add it to the shower gel. It has a very fresh smell to it, but more importantly Tea Tree oil is a natural antiseptic and can kill odor causing bacteria on your skin. JASON, an all natural brand, makes a really good tea tree shower gel. I buy a little bottle of tea tree oil and then add extra to the shower gel because I like the smell. And it doesn't hurt that it's a natural antiseptic.

WASH YOUR FEET WELL. Please don't think that just by standing in the shower and that water runs over your feet that is good enough, it's not. Make sure to wash them intentionally. Most people have no clue how badly their feet smell and how that impacts overall body odor.

After properly eating, drinking more water, taking your prebiotics and probiotics, going to the bathroom regularly, adding in Arm n Hammer to your laundry washing, good showering techniques, using medicated deodorant and body powder and a dash of cologne, if you are still having issues it's time to go see the doctor. Sometimes there are underlying health conditions and you do not want to ignore that possibility.

I don’t want to sound pretentious or make you feel bad as im sure you do shower everyday, but maybe shower in the morning if you don’t before you start your day, as people tend to sweat as night. Wash your entire body with a gentle body wash, and use an aluminum free deodorant. Put on clean clothes and chew gum after eating and or drink coffee or something. Don’t wear heavy layers as it makes you sweat, try to wear breathable clothing. I personally don’t use cologne because i am adverse to strong scents, but if you do find a very mild one and use a very small amount. Other than that have a healthy diet as well, this could also be the problem. Again i can’t judge as you didn’t say what you already do. Good luck.

Couple of tips : diet can effect your scent. A meaty diet will give you worse body odor. Avoiding processed foods helps as well as drinking appropriate amounts of water.
Women love a man's sweat when its fresh! But hate it when its not. So being at a gym and sweating may be good (depending on the situation), but 20 minutes later it has the opposite effect and they are normally repulsed. I wouldnt worry about after shave and colon and things of that sort but you could trim your armpit hair (small scissors not shave) that eliminates a good portion of that odor for me. But i would just keep extra shirts/socks/underwear in the car or in a backpack. Its saved me plenty of times when i wasnt expecting to run into people i had a crush on and they wanted to hang but i was a little gross. Extra water is great for using under the pits and washing the face. If your hair is gross than consider a trim in the summer , beard as well if its unruly. Always keep some deodorant and extra mints or mouthwash on you (again car or backpack). There was one guy at work that always smelled despite decent hygiene, it happens, he had to do alot of this stuff. And then i am soneone who is hairy and sweats alot so the rest is my experience. These are all easy things. Dont worry about axe body spray and stuff like that BUT if you know a particular woman likes a particular scent you can use it. You dont have to smell like pine tar and mountains to be a dude, a lot of people love the smell of lavender for example. Hope this helps. It helped me be less self conscious. But trimming the armpit hair may be the biggest one.

Game changer: "Detail scrubber". Buy a toothbrush and use it to clean your genitals and other body crevices when you take a shower. Use a soft or medium brush. You can also use it to clean your armpits as well.

Once you dry off, take some Aluminum-free deodorant and use it for your armpits and genitals. Spray body spray on your skin (genitals, armpits, and other crevices), on your undershirt, and your outer shirt. This will keep you smelling fresher most of the day. If you do this regularly, you'll notice the odor vanish if the problem is external body odor.

If the problem is internal, Alkalize your body. You may need to eat more fruit or drink more water. Stay away from tap water. It's not good to drink due to everything in it that's not good for the body.

Wash your entire butt crack. With soap and water. And behind your balls. And your feet. If your feet stink get an antifungal cream or spray and treat that problem. If your breath is a problem, drink more water (dehydration makes your breath stink). Make sure to brush your tongue, or better yet, get a tongue scraper.

Covering up an odor with a scent is horrible, it's then fake smells plus stink. Just be clean. Use antiperspirant not just deodorant, too.

Just really test for a week or two of everything already posted.

You can go in your day for some meals with water + full diet protein powder supplement with minerals, vitamins and trace elements. This reduces your calories intake and gives your body protein and everything else, and makes you feel saturated. In the end it is faster then regular food, cheaper, tastes ok and you know for sure you have everything you need. If you need more energy for workout, there are more energy packed powders. It works also fine as detox.

Usually what makes you smell is hormones. If you are young, your levels of body hormones are not yet stabilized, so you will smell. But good thing is, that hormone smell smells nice to girls. Of course you still have to wash every day, maybe even wipe your armpits and dick with soap after lunch, but generally, even though you might smell bad to yourself, to girls it might smell actually good. It might seem weird, but if you compose the question in a good way, you can ask a girls opinion about your smell.
