These are the concepts that I get the most value from, when talking to girls. Most of them are simply about being in the correct mindstate. This may or may not be of use to you.
Touch girls as soon as they'll let you. There's a line where girls are accepting and unaccepting of your behavior, and the ideal place to be is just shy of that line. Always be pushing the interaction as far as your logistics will allow.
If you want to talk to a girl, and then don't, you've lost your momentum and potentially ruined your night. Even rolling up and giving her a compliment and a pound will keep your momentum going.
Momentum is the most important part for grinding. Go out when you don't want to. Say hi to people the moment you enter a venue. Do warm-ups. Force yourself to talk to girls that you might not otherwise.
Don't make excuses. This is mostly about the learning process. If you're into a girl, don't lie to yourself to avoid talking to her. If you did poorly in a set, take responsibility for your part in the interaction. If something unflattering about you is brought up in conversation, own that quality and reframe it (or at least don't get thrown by it).
Approach the grind as a course in school. Take notes, review your notes, learn from your mistakes and find out what is and is not functional in your game. Every interaction is a pop quiz, and your education will be put to the test, so make it count. Don't, however, be a keyboard jockey. If you're doing it right, you won't have time to meet girls, live your regular life and read giant seduction tomes.
Stand out. Be loud, dress better than everyone else (but not a LOT better, just one step above what the other guys are wearing; calibrate your outfit). Ask interesting questions, make the interaction playful and lively. In the daytime, you stand out simply by talking to other people. In clubs and bars, you stand out by having a good time and using social proof. As an extremely short guy, this is often my number one focus.
Don't get drunk. This is for nightgame only (hopefully), but don't do it. One beer is fine is you like drinking beer, but keep your wits about you.
Don't sweat your results. This is the most difficult point for me. Some nights can be emotional roller coasters, but the idea is to be unfazed by success or failure. Think in the long term, as that's where you'll see your improvement take place. Like working out, it takes time and energy to create noticeable musculature. Everything is a learning experience, and they don't individually matter because you're in this for the long haul.
