I wanted to hit on the costco card greeter person today, had the perfect opportunity, made some dead on eye contact with her for a good minute and there was no one else going through so she had time, but i hesitated and didn't. I don't know if these are mind blocks, but I feel that hitting on girls while they work is bad for them. They can't express what they want or be mean to me because they're working, but that doesn't necessarily mean bad. I didn't really know what to say at the time, but I think I could've asked her a few questions and then ask for coffee or something, but I didn't. Now I'm sitting here at 4 in the morning thinking I screwed up. I'll try again if I do see her though. Any thoughts or tips going about this?

I think, if you're good enough, you can go about this, but some situations are impossible, I don't think this one is impossible.

After some hardcore eye contact with her( I get this a lot with girls), should I have went in at that point? I usually see them, but don't know what to say. I'm going to try to make a basic fall back plan in case if this ever happens again, that way I won't get stuck and eventually work on changing it.

Edit: I fucked up on another part, I almost forgot to mention. The biggest fuck up I did was that when I got done buying my crap, I walked past her and didn't say anything, she wasn't paying attention and didn't see me. It was crowded and she got off work/went on break so I decided to leave it. I suck at this. I should've went in right here.
