Why would you want to "dominate" a party? Your goal is to have fun and make others have fun too, if you see someone alone talk to them, introduce them to other people. If you see some isolated groups, connect them to others "you'll love meeting Ben he's so cool" and so on. That way everybody is enjoying it a bit more.

It’s been said, but just focusing on having a good time. It’s attractive when someone is enjoying themselves and just comfortable.

Also, you get automatic clout for being the host of the party. So keep hosting parties and be known as “that guy” and that will make it A LOT easier to pull. It gives you status.

The tips you've been given, to just have fun and things will happen, are about as helpful as "just be nice, the perfect girl will end up in your arms". I thought we were past this bullshit, making a conscious effort at one point is necessary to get laid.

In a party if you look like you're respected by your friends, they have fun with you, everyone wants to be around you, you're confortable, you make the jokes which make everyone laugh, then your approaches become succesful at the end of the night when everyone is drunk. Especially at your age when social value is all that counts: demonstrate your social value within your circle. They should be seduced before you even talk to them, then it's easy mode, you chat 1-1 outside of others eyes and you move for the close when it feels like she wants it.
