Hello.

I recently moved to a part of my country where people have a different dialect. To make matters more challenging, this particular city hates (or at least is rumored to be) speaking the national language. This creates a steep slope for me to create game as I have no idea what to say and afraid they won't even understand me. Is there a universal language (the only one I could think of is body language) or technique which I can use to overcome this problem?
