how, what, why, where, and when.

alternate through these when asking questions about whatever last came out of the girls mouth. occasionally throw in an anecdote of a similar situation to her story then ask another question.

if you hit a brick wall, compliment something about her, be it something she is wearing, her appearance, or something she did then ask about it.

Starting a conversation and keeping it going is a bit difficult especially for someone just starting being social. Conversions are significantly easier if the girl you talk to is very open, i.e. they are sociable. Always try to see what they are currently doing, walking to class, reading a book, playing games on their phones. when they tell you go ask more about it or find a tangent. Ex. girl reading book about ALS, ask her if shes done the ice bucket challenge, she says no, said ive done ice baths, she says she has too, ask what sport, volleyball talk about the very little i know about volleyball, change to beach volleyball, beaches, swimming, bikinis, set up beach date. So for me i always find tangents in whatever we talk about. that conversation started at ALS ended up at beaches and bikinis. One thing i always forget to do is to introduce myself and get her name, yet i can keep a conversations for 30 mins to an hour without asking for her name. But i usually get their name when i get their number, so we dont have that awkward moment of not remembering each others names. However, i dont recommend that, girls are more open when they get and give names. Also one thing that makes girls extremely interested about you is travel, i travel alot for work and when im back in california, girls love hearing about where ive been and whats it like. For some odd reason california girls ive met never travel but have "always wanted to".

Just walk up, smile and say 'Hi, how are you?' Just recalibrate whatever shit is thrown at you after. The conversation would naturally flow on after you open, just as long as you approach!

Notice something happen in the moment or relay a story or feeling. Make a comment about it. Expand on the nouns. Keep expanding trying to flow from one noun to another with anything you find interesting. Sometimes its a 80/20 where you have to talk for 80% of the time until the other person starts talking. Alternatively you can ask interesting questions or ideas just as long there is a good excuse.

Look I never grew the balls to try it, but apparently just saying this works:

"Hey I know this is kind of random, but I found you cute and felt like I would regret not talking to you... So I'm XYZ, how are you doing?"
