How do you find out about fun local events?

Having a life where you go and do fun and interesting things is important for yourself and for attracting women. I always find out about fun things to do from my friends. Where do they learn about them from? Where do you?

The types of events that come to mind (Although I'm sure there are many other types. Specific examples are from Michigan like me)...

Concerts,
Sports (Especially things like Opening Day),
Music Festivals,
Beer Festivals (Grand Rapids and Frankenmuth both have multiple beer events),

Boat rallys like this and motorcycle rallys like this <---That link is slightly NSFW. I'm from Michigan so both of these examples are as well.

Basically places where the beer flows and everyone has fun. These events are great. Everybody is drunk and there're thousands of girls running around in bikinis who just want to have fun. How do I find out about all the fun things that you go to?
