How do you handle girls using their phone when they are with you?

It's happened to me before I've had girls send a quick text and some that have gone in it a few times. I'll usually make a joke saying "Oh are you just letting your friends know you're still alive" we'll laugh and just continue, they'll have gotten the hint afterwards. I've never really had an awkward experience with a girl constantly being on her phone

When I'm with my friends I often ask them to put their phones down, but I don't know if this is a good thing to say to a girl, if I would sound needy or something.

I've managed to deal VERY little with this kind of crap. I think it's because I engage so strongly while with someone that people don't have the chance to engage with a phone. If you're actively listening people and engaging them in conversation, think about this....... most people are not going to interrupt themselves to pull out a phone to interact with.

They will do so, however, if you're spending too much time blathering on about yourself.

I've already got a lot of different reactions when I'm the one using my phone when I'm with a girl, some looking at my phone, some asking what I was doing, etc. I just don't know how to handle when they are using theirs.

I shut off most, if not all of the notifications on my phone. Because getting texts from other people, especially other girls, is a distraction that you don't need while out with a girl. At least if you want to give it your best shot with that girl. And if you're spinning a lot of plates, those notifications alone can make a girl feel like a number or a notch on a bedpost, which chips away at your chances.

Also, you really should try to limit your phone browsing and message checking until they go to the bathroom or whatever. That way you can avoid looky-loos trying to look at your phone while you go through private things.

Ostentatiously take your phone, switch it off, place it face down on the table.

If you are paying for dinner, take her phone, switch it off and place it in your breast pocket.

I date a lot of girls 25 and younger. Unless she is on it for a LOOONG time or something who cares.

Sometimes there are pauses in a convo, or maybe you are waiting for drinks and its loud and its hard to talk. Girls do it not just because they are bored but because they are nervous--they don't know what to do. Young girls these days have less social skills

So if pulling out their phone makes them feel comfortable, let them fuck around with it for 30 seconds or something and then they come back to you. Not a big deal.

If they are on for a lonng time, don't tell them to put it away. Make them want to put it away, or say fuck it and next them
